Lalong Condemns Violence In Namu District Of Quan Pan LGA

Following the attack by some angry youths on Senator Nora Dadu’ut of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the National Assembly and Journalists, Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has expressed disgust over the incident.
Some youths of Namu District didn’t hold back their disappointment as they attacked the Professor for what they described as “poor representation” in the Upper Chamber.

The sad incident took place on Thursday 28th April after the commissioning of an ICT HUB constructed by the Senator as part of her Constituency Project in Namu, Quan Pan Local Government Area.
According to a statement signed by Dr. Makut Simon Macham Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor of Plateau State, the attack was carried out by hoodlums who were said to have been angered by the arrest of a suspected wanted kidnap kingpin by security agencies.

During the course of this uneventful scene the NUJ press bus was burnt and journalists were made to hurriedly look for refuge, with loss of equipment recorded.
Meanwhile, Governor Lalong has directed security agencies to conduct thorough investigation into the matter and ensure that the culprits are fished out and brought to justice.
