Major Nigerian cities, including the Federal Capital Territory, were plunged into darkness on Monday as the national grid collapsed yet again.
In a notice to its customers, the Jos Disco through it’s Head, Corporate Communications Dr. Friday Adakole Elijah said “Dear Esteemed Customer(s), This is to inform you that the current outage being experienced is due to system collapse from the National Grid. We hope to restore supply as soon as it is normalised” the statement partly read.
According to the Cable, this is the eight time the national grid will be collapsing this year. The last national system collapse was recorded in July 2022.
